Balloon Glow

Sometimes life gets in the way and the best of intentions, like putting together the second part of the balloon festival post, just didn't get done. There was always something else that was in the way, but tonight I figured I'd best make the time.

The evening shots were much more challenging, there were many more people there crowding the field and there was a pretty stiff wind and of course, it was dark. Still I managed to get two pretty good shots. The first was just after dark while most of the balloons were still inflated and giving tethered rides:




And the second was well after full dark. On both images the majority of the work was done in RAW and the only things I did in Photoshop itself was a small amount of sharpening and removing noise with the Neat Image plugin:
